My family opened the store for business in Hitchin in 1863. Since then the world has changed, but one thing that hasn't is the great personal service you are guaranteed at our traditional department store here in Hitchins historic Bucklesbury.

The Tea Shop at Hawkins Of Hitchin is the new place to enjoy a freshly brewed tea or coffee with delicious locally sourced pastry or cake in the comfortable surroundings of Hitchin's landmark department store. We have 6 blends of tea – all served loose leaf in a pot, along with Hawkins own unique blend of coffee. We're situated within one of Hitchin's most historic streets brimming with interesting shops and boutiques.
